An illustrator is sought to bring to life A Pocket for Scout, a children’s picture book designed to help young readers aged 4–8 navigate the emotional journey of losing a pet. The project involves creating artwork for a 32-page book, including approximately 14–16 double-page spreads, cover design, and select spot illustrations. The desired illustration style is warm, gentle, and emotionally expressive—ideally hand-drawn or watercolor—comparable to artists such as Anna Walker or Freya Blackwood. Real-life reference photos will be provided to guide character development, though exact likenesses are not required. Collaboration throughout the illustration process, from initial layouts to final revisions, is expected. A flexible completion window of 8–12 weeks is preferred.
