👉 About the role

As a Junior Visual Designer at Alan, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our brand comes to life across everything we create, from landing pages to email templates as well as our mobile app. You’ll work closely with product designers as well as our brand and marketing teams to ensure every visual touchpoint is beautifully crafted, cohesive, and effective.

You’ll help build engaging experiences for prospective and existing members by applying your eye for composition, color, and detail. Whether you’re assembling hero images for a new landing page or supporting marketing with compelling visuals, you’ll help keep our design standards high and our brand unmistakable.

As a junior visual designer, you will:

  • Bring our brand guidelines to life, ensuring consistency and quality across every visual.
  • Create and update illustrations, layouts, and visual assets sometimes from scratch, sometimes by remixing what we already have.
  • Experiment with new ideas and challenge the status quo, whether it’s rethinking a landing page, suggesting a fresh approach to visual storytelling or experimenting with AI.
  • Collaborate with the brand and marketing teams to create assets for our website, campaigns, and emails.
  • Review designs & share feedback with product designers to raise the bar for visual quality across the company.

✏️ Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience designing web and mobile platforms
  • Fluent in both English and French

Have a portfolio including recent work (

  • Are comfortable using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Have a keen eye for layout, color, typography, and composition
  • Confidently follow (and build upon) a brand style guide to create visually consistent experiences
  • Enjoy collaborating with designers and marketers, and are eager to help others grow their own design skills
  • Can take feedback and iterate quickly, always aiming for the best results
  • Are proactive and autonomous, ready to take ownership of projects and see them through.
